Dynamis

Dynamis PRC is the Formula Student Team of Politecnico di Milano, composed of over 100 students from more than ten different faculties. Active since 2004, it competes in Formula Student, an international university competition organized by SAE International, involving over 1000 universities worldwide. Every year, the team designs and builds a formula-style racing prototype, evaluated across seven events, including on-track performance, engineering design, and cost analysis.
Over nearly twenty years of activity, Dynamis PRC has achieved remarkable milestones. In the historic Combustion category, it secured 31 podium finishes, ranking fourth in the world in 2019. In 2020, the team embraced a new challenge, focusing on the development of electric prototypes and achieving 28 podiums in this category. Starting in 2022, the project further evolved with the integration of autonomous driving capabilities, allowing the team to compete in the Driverless category. In just three years, Dynamis PRC earned 21 podium finishes in this new category, including 10 during its debut season.
Dynamis PRC is a constantly evolving reality, serving as a launchpad for future engineers!

Polimi Motorcycle Factory

The Polimi Motorcycle Factory (PMF) is a student racing team of Politecnico di Milano, founded in 2015 to participate in the international MotoStudent competition.
Growing rapidly, it now involves students from numerous programmes, such as engineering, design and architecture, integrating multidisciplinary skills to tackle technical, organisational and logistical challenges.
In 2015, the PMF debuted at MotoStudent with a prototype that completed all the tests, finishing tenth in MS1. In 2018 it won the world title in the Petrol category with the prototype called “Scighera”, excelling in acceleration, top speed and final race.
In 2021, the team competed for the first time in the Electric category with the prototype called “Nyx”, winner of the Best Industrial Project, as well as in the historical Petrol category with a prototype named Sciura, and performed well in both static and dynamic events.
In 2023, it participated in the seventh MotoStudent with two revolutionary motorbikes: S.T.U.K.A. (Petrol) and Tatanka (Electric), finishing as world runner-up in the Electric category thanks to outstanding performance.
After the successes achieved, the PMF aims at the 2025 edition, consolidating its role of academic and sporting excellence and training future professionals through innovative and concrete projects.

Physis

PHYSIS PEB is a student team that designs and builds an electric catamaran powered by either a hybrid system (hydrogen-battery) or full battery. We compete in international events like the Monaco Energy Boat Challenge and the Sardinia Innovative Boat Week. The MEBC, held every July at the Yacht Club de Monaco, is one of the top global competitions for promoting sustainable boating. The SIBW, in September in Olbia, focuses on celebrating and encouraging innovation in the Italian nautical industry.
Since we started in 2022, we’ve achieved great results, including first place in qualifications and third place overall in our debut year. Over time, we’ve won several awards, such as building the lightest hydrogen hybrid boat in MEBC history and finishing first among hybrid boats in 2024.
We handle everything ourselves, from carbon fiber lamination to 3D modeling and printing of propellers, from designing electronics to developing software and firmware. Our team is the heart of PHYSIS PEB, made up of students from undergraduate and master’s programs in engineering, architecture, and design. This mix of skills and perspectives helps us tackle big challenges with fresh ideas and advanced expertise.

MeccE

Team Green Mecc is a team of Politecnico di Milano partecipating in the international competition Shell Eco-marathon.
The main goal of the project is to promote, in the form of a motor competition, the involved teams in the design and realization of ultra-efficient road vehicles. The competition organizers reward the teams that are able to reach the lowest energy consumption on a predefined race track.
Team Green Mecc counts about 70 students, from different departments of Politecnico di Milano. Students are divided into 5 groups with as many working areas: design, aerodynamics, electronics and control, strategy, communication and sponsors. The involved students take care of the entire construction of the vehicle, from the design activities to the realization, the development and the testing on track of the vehicle.
Team Green Mecc compete with an urban concept vehicle with electric propulsion and powered by battery.
The 2024 edition of the competition took place at the Circuit Paul Armagnac in Nogaro (FR).
The team achieved the third place in the battery electric urban concept category, with a result of 230 km/kWh. The team also took the second place in the final race, where teams must complete a certain number of laps with limited energy. Wins the vehicle that crosses the finish line first.
