Alberto Zasso is a Full Professor at Politecnico di Milano, teaching Applied Mechanics and Dynamics of Mechanical Systems to BSc and MSc mechanical students. He received his PhD on super long-span bridges aeroelasticity, then developing numerical and experimental researches on the fluid-structure interaction and aerodynamics of large civil structures in collaboration with leading international companies and institutions. Wind Turbine research is now playing a central role in its activities / PI in two H2020 projects on unsteady aerodynamics, Wind Farm Control and wakes interaction. He was one of the POLIMI professors responsible for the design and construction of the Politecnico Boundary Layer Wind Tunnel, today the most significant research infrastructure for Wind Engineering and Wind Energy applications in Europe, being then its Scientific Director. He is currently the Italian representative in EERA JP-Wind Steering Committee (European Energy Research Alliance).
