Charikleia Stoura is a Marie Skłodowska-Curie Global Actions (MSCA) Postdoctoral Fellow with Politecnico di Milano and ETH Zürich. She obtained her diploma in Civil Engineering from the Department of Civil Engineering of the National Technical University of Athens in 2015, followed by her Ph.D. from the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering of the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology in 2021. In 2022, she joined the Chair of Structural Mechanics and Monitoring of the Department of Civil, Environmental and Geomatic Engineering at ETH Zürich as a Postdoctoral researcher, supported by an ETH Zürich Postdoctoral Fellowship. She is currently affiliated with Politecnico di Milano and is also working as a visiting Postdoctoral researcher at ETH Zürich as part of her MSCA Postdoctoral Fellowship. Charikleia's research background centers on the analytical and numerical investigation of the vehicle-bridge interaction problem in railway bridges. Her current research focuses on the on-board monitoring of railway infrastructure utilizing data from traversing trains. Her objective is to develop a reliable, cost-effective methodology to continuously monitor the structural integrity of critical components of railway infrastructure, such as tracks and bridges.
