Erencan Oranli graduated from Mechanical Engineering, Bachelor of Science program in Yildiz Technical University in June 2019 and continued to pursue his Master of Science (MSc) degree in Politecnico di Milano. He completed his MSc degree in Mechanical Engineering department of Politecnico di Milano in April 2022 with the thesis focused on the creation of a numerical model for the sand blasting process. He started his PhD in November 2022 with the subject of designing mechanical surface treatments for developing hierarchical gradient microstructures. In line with his PhD research, he is part of different projects with academic and industrial collaborators to investigate the application of shot peening and surface mechanical attrition treatment on different metallic materials produced by both conventional methods and additive manufacturing.
