Braghin Francesco
Full Professor
Graduated from the Politecnico di Milano, since 2015 he is Full Professor of Applied Mechanics at the same institution, where he conducts research in strategic fields such as vehicle dynamics and control (both road and rail), mechatronics, robotics, and the development of metamaterials.
Author of over 360 scientific publications and leader of numerous research projects, he stands out for his contributions to the field of autonomous vehicle control. In the railway sector, his research focuses on wheel-rail interaction, as well as the development of advanced methodologies for diagnostics and monitoring. In mechatronics and robotics, he adopts an interdisciplinary approach that combines mechanics, control, and artificial intelligence, making systems increasingly autonomous, safe, and adaptable. Finally, his work on metamaterials combines theoretical analysis, numerical simulation, and experimentation to create materials with unique properties.
