Luca Lomazzi is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Politecnico di Milano. His research focuses on the structural response to extreme loads, such as impacts and explosions, and on the application of machine learning to solid mechanics, with particular attention to the development of new generative AI algorithms and unsupervised machine learning for structural health monitoring and optimization under extreme loads. Luca is the author of several scientific papers and collaborates with leading international universities. He is also actively involved in teaching courses in Advanced Machine Design, Machine Design, and Impact Engineering, and supervises master’s students during their thesis projects.
