Researcher
Luca M. Martulli holds a master’s degree in Aerospace Engineering (2016 - Università di Pisa, Italy) and an industrial PhD in Materials Engineering (2020 - Toyota Motor Europe & KULeuven, Belgium).
His research activities involve the static and fatigue performance and damage mechanisms of both short and continuous fibre reinforced composites. In particular, he is expert on the mechanical characterisation of composites with advanced techniques, to develop efficient numerical material models and design approaches for structural components. He collaborates with several international universities and industries, through European projects (he is the coordinator of FibReLoop, an MSCA-DN), international PhD courses and research stays.
