Matteo Savazzi received his M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees in Biomedical Engineering from the Politecnico di Milano in 2017 and the University of Lisbon in 2023, respectively. During his Ph.D., he worked on the development of a prototype microwave imaging device for the diagnosis of axillary lymph nodes in patients affected by breast cancer. He is currently a Research Assistant in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Politecnico di Milano, where he works on medical hyperspectral imaging for laser ablation monitoring and on the characterization of biological tissue spectral properties.
