Riccardo Gerosa graduated at Politecnico di Milano in Mechanical Engineering in 2001. He concluded the Ph.D program in Metallurgical Engineering at Politecnico di Torino in 2006. He became an assistant professor in 2008 at Politecnico di Milano and from 2022 he is an Associate Professor. From 2008, he teaches in Metallurgy courses and nowadays he is professor of the courses “Materials for Sustainable Industry” e “Laboratory of Materials and Damage Analysis” (Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering). The research activity, supported by papers in international journals, deals with the mechanical-microstructural characterization of steels and non-ferrous alloys and the optimization of their service properties by the analysis of the process and heat treatment parameters.
