Graduated in Mechanical Engineering at the Politecnico di Milano in 2004, he obtained the title with merit of PhD in Mechanical Systems Engineering in 2008 (20th cycle).
He is currently Associate Professor at the Department of Mechanics of the Politecnico di Milano in the scientific disciplinary sector ING-IND-13 (Mechanics Applied to Machines).
His teaching activity mainly concerns the field of automatic machines for industry ("Functional mechanical design", "Design of Food processing machines", "Mechanical design") with a focus on new innovative design methods inspired by Nature (" Bioinspired innovation "," Bioinspired systems ").
His most recent research activity takes place in the field of mechatronics and industrial automation.
The research ranges on topics related to the synthesis of automatic machines, with reference to problems of kinematics and dynamics of complex mechanisms, dynamic simulation, monitoring of the operating conditions of the machines and evaluation of their operating status.
He is the author of more than 150 scientific publications.
