Elena Lucania studied Biomedical Engineering at the Polytechnic University of Turin. During her thesis at the IIT in Genoa, she developed a passion for virtual reality applied to surgery, which led her to pursue a PhD at the Polytechnic University of Milan, where she is developing an augmented reality system to assist surgeons in the removal of lung nodules.
